Two Young Sandy Hill Elementary School Artists Recognized

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - Two elementary school students and being awarded for their artistic ability. Aliza Adams and Charlette Pliescott, who both attend Sandy Hill Elementary School, are being recognized at the Cambridge Elks Lodge on February 1st.

Both girls submitted posters to the Elks' Americanism Poster Contest, that was for students between the ages of four and five. Each poster, themed "My Favorite Symbol of America," was picked from a group of 40. Both kindergartners will get a medal and a certificate for their winning art work.

Principal Marybeth Glessner said "We are very proud of both Aliza and Charlette for their artistic ability and their patriotism, we look forward to more great things from both of them."
