VIRGINIA - In Virginia, a Republican-dominated subcommittee approved one voting bill, but killed two others.
One measure would have eliminated the need to select from a handful of excuses, to vote early. They also turned down another bill that would allow parents or guardians of small children in areas under emergency declaration, to vote absentee without an excuse.
The bill that did advance will allow seniors 65 and older to vote absentee.
