Posted: Updated:

EASTON, Md. - Police are looking for information about a suspect who allegedly tried to rob a convenience store. Easton Police say that on Saturday, a white male wearing a blue or purple jacket, walked into the Highs Convenience Store on Elliott Road, and attempted to rob the store.

Employees reportedly told police that the man walked up to one of the clerks and demanded money, while apparently indicating that he had a gun in his waist band. Before the clerk could respond, the man apparently went to the back of the store and confronted a second clerk, and demanded money from them too. Police say that when the clerk said "no," the suspect fled from the store on foot.

The clerks reportedly described the suspect as very nervous, and tried to conceal his face with his shirt. The suspect is described as a white male, tall, with a large build, an fair complexion, last seen wearing a black t-shirt, and a blue or purple jacket.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Easton Police Department at 410-822-1111, the tip line at 410-763-6140, or text "EASTON PD" to "CRIMES". Anonymous tips can also be left on Easton PD's website.
