BERLIN, Md. - Robert (Bob or Harvey) Clifford Ketterman,79, passed away January 12, 2013 with his loving family & friends surrounding him. Robert was born October 31, 1933 in Berlin, MD and married Rosalee Hudson February 8, 1954. They would have been married 59 years in February 2013. He was the son of Oscar and Helen Ketterman and served in the Unites States Navy on the U.S.S. Vesole (DD-878) and received an honorable discharge. He worked for Perdue, Inc. for 37 years as an over the road driver. He was the recipient of Perdue's Million Mile Club for his professionalism and safe driving. After retiring from Perdue, he worked for Chesapeake Rim & Wheel delivering parts. Bob enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandsons racing at US 13 Dragway. He was also a NASCAR racing fan and an avid Bill Elliott fan. Most often, you could find him in his back yard watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing and swimming in is pool. Bob was a Lifetime Member of VFW Post 7234 in Ocean View, DE and a longtime participant in their Honor Guard. He was also a member of the Salisbury Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4503 and a member of the American Legion in Berlin, MD.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years; Rosalee H. Ketterman of Salisbury; two sons, Gerald Ketterman and his wife, Cindy of Delmar, Wayne Ketterman and his wife, Renne of Salisbury; a daughter, Sharon Ann Ennis and her husband, Frank of Salisbury; 6 grandchildren, Michael Ketterman of Ocean City, Robert Ennis and his fiancée, Lori Hastings of Salisbury, Greg Ennis and his wife, Stacie of Salisbury, WR Ketterman of Salisbury, Krystle Owens of Delmar, Tommy Ketterman of Salisbury and his wife, Amanda. Bob also enjoyed his 13 great-grandchildren, Miley & Leslie Ennis, Ella Ketterman, Blake Esham, Logan & Cameron Bunting, Bradley & Rielly Ketterman, Elizabeth & Paige Ketterman, Kayla Ennis, Bradley & Alexis Ennis-Hastings. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Oscar & Helen Ketterman; 3 brothers, James Ketterman, Oscar Ketterman Jr., and Raymond Ketterman as well as 2 sisters, Edith Smith and Catherine Brown.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with Rev. Frank W. Ennis officiating. There will be a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and also one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday.
