Suspect Sought After Dover Shooting

DOVER, Del. - Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly shot at a Dover home. Dover Police say on Sunday, around 6:30 PM, a dark colored vehicle pulled up to an Ann Avenue home, and fired 5 to 6 shots into the home, and open garage.

There were apparently two people sitting in the garage, one, a 44-year-old woman, was hit in the back by either a ricochet or small fragment from the round. The victim was treated for minor injuries at Bay Health and released. Police say that based on shell casing recovered from the scene, the suspects used a 9mm handgun.

The suspect is facing 1st degree assault charges. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Dover Police Department at 302-736-7111 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
