Suspect At Large After Apparent Failed Child Abduction

FEDERALSBURG, Md. - Police are looking to identify a suspect who allegedly tried to abduct a child in Federalsburg on Monday. The Federalsburg Police Department say on January 8th, around 3:00 PM, a man in a vehicle tried to abduct a child in the area of West Central Avenue and University Avenue.

A witness reportedly described the vehicle as a white or eggshell, with dark tinted windows, no hubcaps, just black rims. It could possible have a chrome strip near the bottom of the body of the car, and damage on the driver's side rear quarter panel.

Police say that the driver was a middle aged, medium skin tone, African American male, who is either balding or has short hair. He was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt or jacket and blue jeans.

Federalsburg Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them at 410-754-8966 or just dial 911.
