Overnight Drawbridge Inspections In Salisbury Start Monday

SALISBURY, Md. - One of the drawbridges on the peninsula is being checked out. The Maryland State Highway Administration is performing routine maintenance on the US 50 Business drawbridge in Salisbury that crosses the Wicomico River.

The work will start on Monday, January 14 until Thursday January 17th running overnights, from 9:00 PM until 5:00 AM. Expect delays during this time. SHA says that the bridge will need to be opened for 15 minutes at a time, every hour.

The routine inspection work will be performed by Covington Machine and Welding, Inc. of Annapolis. Call 511 for the latest traveler information.
