Jan. 14 - The Frosty Freeze 2 Mile Run / Walk

GOOD MORNING DELMARVA - The 2 mile fun run/walk to help raise funds for MAC Inc. and Salisbury Horizons is an event that is a community service project led by Olivia Eagle. Both organizations are near and dear to her heart and it is her hope that you join to help raise funds for these organizations.

Olivia is an honor student, Cross Country runner, indoor track & field athlete, lacrosse player, and an Athlete of The Year at James M. Bennett.

MAC is the designated area agency on aging for Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties. Salisbury Horizons an academic enrichment program that provides academic, social and recreational opportunities for children.

Horizons provides an academic intensive summer learning program for low-income public school students on the campus of The Salisbury School, a private independent school. Horizons is an award winning non-profit national summer learning program that follows students from kindergarten through high school graduation. 

Horizons works in partnership with families throughout the year to provide academic, cultural and recreational opportunities that encourages each student to realize their full potential.   The ultimate goal of Horizons is to transform the lives of students caught in the achievement gap – giving them the tools and support to become successful and confident career and college-bound students.  

The Frosty Freeze will be held on January 19, 2013 at Mac Inc. Senior Services Building, 909 Progress Circle, Suite 100. It's located behind the Holly Center facilities.

9:00AM is registration, at 10:00AM the race begins, and at 10:50AM is the awards and the ceremony.
