Flagger Controlling Traffic Robbed

Posted: Updated:

WOODSIDE, Del.  - Delaware State Police say a flagger controlling traffic in Woodside was robbed.

It happened about 10:15 a.m. Monday on Walnut Shade Road. Troopers say the flagman was directing pedestrian and vehicular traffic while road construction was under way.

Two men approached the flagger, requiring to be escorted through the construction zone. Police say the men knocked the flagger to the ground, took cash from the victim and fled.
