Deadline Approaching For Salisbury Elections

SALISBURY, Md. - The filing deadline to run for Salisbury mayor or city council is right around the corner.  Anyone interested has until Tuesday, January 15th.  Paperwork must be turned in no later than 4:30 PM for the April election.

So far, we know Mayor Jim Ireton has filed for re-election.  Local blogger Joe Albero is expected to officially throw his hat in the ring Tuesday, January 8th.  Also, incumbent councilwoman Shanie Shields has filed for another term.
