Milford Man Arrested For Attempted Murder - WMDT 47 News - Delmarva's Choice

MILFORD, Del. -After a month long investigation, Milford man wanted for attempted 1st degree murder is now in custody.

At 11:00 pm on Saturday, January 5, 2012, Milford Police SPecial Operations Group (SWAT) arrested 22 year-old Eric G. Correa at a business on the 900 block of North Dupont Highway, thanks to a tip.

Correa was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder 1^st Degree, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony and Possession of a Firearm by Person Prohibited.

Police investigation revealed that on December 1, 2012, between the hours of 2:00 am and 3:00 am, Correa got in a verbal dispute with the 32yo victim at WAWA convenience store.  He then followed the victim back to Brightway Commons Apartment Complex and confronted the victim.  Police say Correa then fired multiple rounds from a gun at the victim, striking him multiple times. Correa then fled on foot.

The male victim was transported from the scene by ambulance to Milford Bayhealth Hospital and later flown to Christiana Care Hospital in serious condition with multiple gunshot wounds. Correa was arraigned through JP3 and was committed to SCI in default of $170,000 cash bond.
