Organizers Raise Funds For Lleyton Slate Memorial Fund

Posted: Updated:

OCEAN CITY, Md. - After losing her two-year-old son in a drunk driving accident over a month ago, Tiffany Slate is getting an overwhelming amount of support from the community.

Now, organizers are hosting the Lleyton Slate Memorial Fundraiser at the Pour House in Ocean City from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5th. A silent auction, raffle and $2 from food purchases that will go towards the fund that will help the Slate family pay their hefty medical bills.

"I couldn't imagine whatTiiffany has gone through and Bruce and their family," said Mindy Harmon, a family friend and co-organizer of the event. "To be as close as I am to them, my son and their daughter play together, for me not to help them, I [would] feel immoral."

If you can't make it out, but would still like to help, organizers say they set up a fund through Farmers Bank of Willards in Tiffany and Bruce Slate's name.
