UPDATE: Domestic Dispute Ends In Apparent Suicide In Salisbury

Posted: Updated:

WICOMICO CO., Md – WMDT has received new details on the barricade situation reported on Wednesday night that caused closures along Dagsboro Road.

Police are saying that what began as a domestic dispute went horribly wrong and left one man dead from an apparent suicide.

Officials report they took extreme precaution in closing off the roads near the home in an effort to keep neighbors safe, and no other injuries have been reported.

Not much more information has been given at this time, and next of kin has yet to be contacted. However, police say this incident is not related to the recent shootings at officers' homes nor the string of missing girls.

According to Maryland State Police, the roads are now open and the scene is secure.  Authorities are still investigating on the scene.
