Still No Conclusion On Fruitland Area Water Contamination

WICOMICO CO, Md. - Nearly 6 months after TCE contamination was initially reported in the Morris Mill Road area near Fruitland, officials still don't have any answers.  About 90 percent of the private wells in the region have been sampled and the problem doesn't seem to be spreading.

Early next week, the Maryland Department of Environment is expected to drill monitoring wells in order to further investigate ground water movement and attempt to pin-point a cause and time contamination.
