CLAYTON, Del. (AP) - State police believe alcohol was a factor in a crash that killed a Townsend man.
Police say 27-year-old Robert Pizarro ran his vehicle off the road in the Clayton area Thursday evening. The car crashed into a ditch, then continued into a wooded area where it hit several trees.
Pizarro was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation, but preliminarily, police believe Pizarro had been drinking.
