DOVER, Del. - State highway officials say law enforcers are planning four checkpoints to detect impaired driving.
The checkpoints over the New Year's weekend come after officials say two people were killed in impaired driving crashes on Christmas.
The checkpoints will be: Friday in New Castle and Longneck; Saturday in Smyrna; and Monday in Wilmington.
There have been 4,795 DUI arrests in Delaware since Jan. 1.
