SALISBURY, Md - For Joe Hall and his wife, shopping on the day after Christmas is a family tradition.
"It's kind of turned into an annual thing for us," said Hall.
"You get up the next day after Christmas and the traffics gone and the people have disappeared. The vendors are just trying to move their stuff so that's to our advantage."
Shoppers throughout the Eastern Shore invade the Centre at Salisbury, looking for those slashed prices right after Christmas.
"We're in a bigger clearance mode than we have been in years past," said John Mann, Aeropostale store manager. "We're basically giving out the store. The customers are seeing that, so they've been doing more shopping than returning."
Even though some mallgoers like Hall are enjoying looking for the best sale, the bargains did not live up to some expectations.
"I'm just kind of looking around seeing if there are any deals out since Christmas was yesterday and hopefully find a good deal somewhere," said Mark Williams. "Surprisingly, I thought there would be good deals, but not really."
But bargain hunters weren't the only ones at the mall. Some were just there to return those Christmas gifts that were not exactly right.
"[I'm returning] some games that don't meet my standards, so I have to go get something better," said Brian Whitaker.
"[My] new pair of batting gloves were white and blue and my team colors are white and black," said Taylor Ewing. "I returned those for all-white and now we're all good."
