Chief DiPino Serves Food, Says Goodbye On Christmas Day

Posted: Updated:

OCEAN CITY, Md. - Chief Bernadette DiPino is on her way to Sarasota, Fla., but before she leaves  she says goodbye those she's served for the past 24 years.

She spent the day helping serve food at the NOEL Community annual Christmas dinner, where she tells WMDT she spends every Christmas with family.

"It's my last one," said DiPino about the Christmas dinner. "I'm really going to miss it.  It's a great time for me to be able to say goodbye to the community by sharing with them some fellowship of Christmas and being here with my family, too."

Ocean City is currently relying on three police captains to take control of the force until the beach town finds a new chief of police.
