Police Investigating Church Fire In Laurel

LAUREL, Del. - The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a building fire that broke out at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Sunday night.

The incident occurred at 8:17PM on the 33000 block of Mount Pleasant Road in Laurel. Officials believe the blaze began in the south end of the church and spread to the steeple. No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Damages have been estimated at $5,000.
