Student Arrested After Bringing BB Gun To School

FELTON, Del. -Delaware State Police have arrested a 16 year old Lake Forest High School student after he brought a BB gun to school.

Officials say the incident occurred Thursday morning as students were exiting the busses at school.  Another student informed a teacher that the 16-year-old told him that had gun and showed it to him on the bus.  School administrators were immediately notified and escorted the student to the office.

A search of his backpack revealed a plastic B gun and a clip loaded with BB's.  The student's parents were contacted.  He was issued a criminal summons for Carrying a Concealed Dangerous Instrument.
