Queen Anne's County Sheriff Offers Free Gunlocks

Posted: Updated:

QUEEN ANNE'S CO., Md. - A local sheriff's office is giving away free gifts, to help protect the community.

Queen Anne's County Sheriff Gary Hofmann is handing out free gunlocks to residents. They make great last minute gifts or stocking stuffers. The sheriff says they have given them away before. They only have a limited supply, but stop by the Sheriff's Office Headquarters in Centreville, to pick one up.

Hofmann said "too often you read about a child playing with a gun which results in in an accidental shooting, when a simple lock as these can prevent it". Maryland Law requires guns to be locked up and secure.
