Sussex Co. GOP Chairman Will Not Run For Re-Election

GEORGETOWN, Del. - Sussex County Republicans announces they will be looking for a new leader next year.    

Jerry Wood will not be running for re-election as Chairman this coming March due to health reasons.  Wood has faced some up-and-downs during his tenure, including Eric Bodenweiser's withdrawal and indictment on alleged sex crimes.    

Under Wood's leadership, the county elected Republicans to the 19th Senate District and two redistricted seats: one state representative and one state senator.
