DELMAR, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have charged a woman with driving under the influence of alcohol after a car crash that killed her 2-year-old nephew.
Forty-six-year-old Danielle Bobak of Georgetown has also been charged with vehicular homicide and other offenses in the Nov. 13 crash. She is being held on more than $20,000 secured bond.
Troopers say Bobak lost control of her car in a curve on Whitesville Road in Delmar. The car struck a tree and rolled onto its passenger side before coming to a stop.
Authorities say Lleyton Slate was partially ejected from car after it rolled because his child car seat was not properly secured. He was flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, where he was pronounced dead.
