POCOMOKE CITY, Md. - Dolores "Dolly" Pro Lewis, 80 of Pocomoke City, MD, went home to be with her LORD and savior on Friday, December 14, 2012. Born December 2, 1932 in New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Cesar Pro and the late Emilee Ganz Pro Heinen. She retired from Peninsula Regional Medical Center in 1986 with 22 years of service as a registrar. She was a master craftsman restoring clock dials and doing reverse painting on glass. She had a special heart for animals, welcoming many strays into her home.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Billy Joe Lewis, a son Gary Pusey (Donna) of Eden; a daughter, Maralyn Adkins (Billy) of Delmar; a son Billy Lewis, Jr. (Ronda) of Salisbury; a grandson Nathan, a granddaughter, Natalee, a brother, Edward Pro of Tampa, Fl, her mother-in-law, Miriam Holland of Pocomoke City and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks for the excellent care and support she and Billy received from Coastal Hospice staff members, Amy Farozic, Janice Adams, Pat Westcott, and Chaplain Mark Massey and the support of Rev. Rowland Scott from Goodwill Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2 PM at the Goodwill Baptist Church, Pocomoke City, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21804 or to the Goodwill Baptist Church, 3824 Stockton Road, Pocomoke City, MD 21851.
