Oxford House Fire Under Investigation

Posted: Updated:

OXFORD, Md. - A Talbot County house fire is under investigation. The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office says that a neighbor discovered the fire that started in the back bedroom of the Bonfield Court home in Oxford.

The blaze reported broke out around 6:35 PM, on Monday, causing $100,000 damages to the two story home. It took 30 firefighters about 25 minutes to control the one alarm blaze.

Officials aren't sure whether the smoke alarms were working, and they are still working to figure out what started the fire.
