UPDATE: Body Found In OC Appears To Be Suicide

OCEAN CITY, Md. - Police have released more information about the body that was found on 45th Street in Ocean City on Tuesday. Ocean City Police say that when they arrived at the beach around 7:55 AM, they found an unresponsive man, lying with a .22 caliber rifle on his lap.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say that it seems he died of a single self-inflicted gunshot wound. An investigation shows that he is a 27-year-old from Mt. Airy, Maryland. His name is not being released at this time.

The remains are now in the custody of the Chief Medical Examiner, and is still being investigated by the Ocean City Police Department, pending the medical examiners report.
