Gas Prices Fall 17 Cents In Virginia Over Past Week

Posted: Updated:

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Gas prices have fallen by an average of 17 cents per gallon in Virginia over the past week.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says some stations are selling regular unleaded gas for less than $3 a gallon for the first time in six months.

The auto club says the average price last week was $3.03 per gallon, down from $3.20 the week before. That's also a dime less than Virginians were paying at the same time a year ago.

The national average last week was $3.13.

AAA says prices are expected to drop a little more through the end of the month.
