After Conn. Shooting, Delmarva Residents Talk Gun Control

Posted: Updated:

WMDT 47 NEWS - Locals are talking gun control after the Newtown, Conn. school shootings.

Here's what some had to say about the issue:

"I don't know that more laws about guns are going to take care of it but certainly personal responsibility and who you are and actions you take for yourself," said Brian O'Hara of Salisbury, Md.

"This is getting out of hand, we cant live like this," said Rodney Holloway.

"Some people, they don't think, you understand what I mean? They don't realize what they are doing so I think they should just ban all guns," said Loretta Brown.

Across the bridge this weekend, in Prince George's County, police collected 150 guns at the county's Gifts for Guns event, which had been scheduled before the Connecticut shootings.  One woman said the tragic event sparked the long time gun owner to turn them in.
