First Phase Of Energy Savings Project Completed At Wallops

WALLOPS ISLAND, Va. - NASA Wallops is going green with a $28 million energy savings project.

A Massachusetts-based company, Ameresco, recently completed the first phase, installing high efficiency lighting, upgrading the energy management control system and making a few other changes at the flight facility.    

Officials say the second phase is currently underway.
