Local Rapper Raising Awareness For Toys For Tots With Rhymes

Posted: Updated:

DELMAR, Del. - A local rapper is hoping his rhymes bring joy to kids across Delmarva.

Lafayette Bell Sr., known as "Sgt. Bell", spent the afternoon at Atlantic Pawn in Delmar collecting Toys For Tots.  Along with singer Felicia Cahall, Bell rapped his jingle on radio station OC 104 to get people out to donate toys for children in need.

"We're out here supporting Toys For Tots and there hip-hop campaign and our Toys For Tots program," said Bell.  "We could use more people to come out here to participate for the deserving children out on the Eastern Shore."

Bell has been involved with Toys For Tots for 20 years, making his first rap jingle back in 1997.
