WMDT 47 NEWS - As news continues to pour in from the Connecticut elementary school tragedy, locals speak about the morning's shooting.
"I lost my son in 2003 and there's nothing like a hole in your heart when you lose a child," said Joyce Roberts of Parsonsburg, Md.
Brionna Barber of New Jersey tells WMDT that "it really makes you feel like we're not in a world where we can protect each other and protect our loved ones."
Brandon Records says, "It's inhumane and gut-wrenching seeing that people can do this, especially in an elementary school."
"That's [sigh] very, very bad, especially at this time of year," said Jim Burke of Salisbury, Md.
Cheryl Peters of Salisbury, Md. says, "The world's gone crazy. I mean, why are these people just going in and shooting innocent people?"
"I don't know what this world is coming to, but we just have to do a lot of praying," said Margaret Bullock, a grandmother from Salisbury, Md.
