SALISBURY, Md. - Thomas Albert Spear, Jr., 62, of Salisbury, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, surrounded by his family at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of Patricia Willey Lombardo of Baltimore and the late Thomas Albert Spear, Sr.. "Tommy" was a US Coast Guard veteran having served from 1967-1971. He worked for Simpsons Towing in Salisbury for the past 16 years. He enjoyed painting, reading and tinkering with car. By nature, he was a very humble and private man.

He was the proud father of 3 children, Ryan Adam Spear of Salisbury, Joshua Dean Spear and his wife, Jennifer of Delmar and Jennifer Lynne Worden and her husband, Ryan of Hebron; 4 grandchildren, Delanie, Jeremy, Noah and Makenzie; a cousin who was like a sister, Wilhelmina Spear Collins of Cambridge; and the mother of his children, Julie Simpson Mumford of Ocean City, MD.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 2pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Chaplain Pete Layfield will officiate. Interment will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 12 noon in the chapel at the Eastern Shore Maryland Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock.
