Made In America: Sport And Sparkle In Easton

Posted: Updated:

EASTON, Md. - It's week two that WMDT and ABC News begs the question, are you in Delmarva?

Each Wednesday, we're featuring a local business that either sells or manufacturers products Made In America.

We've learned finding American made products isn't exactly made easy, but there are Silver Linings. Literally. It's a local jewelry store in downtown Easton.

"We are working in harmony with another company that makes their pieces in the United States. These are called Swap Top bracelets. These are made by a designer in Massachusetts and we make the topper, which we made specifically for Waterfowl Festival. They are limited edition this year," sad Cynthia Thomas, general manager pf Silver Linings.

The Soldier To Soldier bracelets are a hot holiday item. For $95, you're not only helping our country, but also those who fought for it too.

"The donation is $20 of the sales of each one of these, that go to help disabled American veterans," said Thomas.

If that's not your speed, Easton Cycle and Sport has kayaks and paddles, that come equipped with the stamp of approval.

"Our Old Town and Ocean Tag boats are made up in Maine, our Hurricane kayaks are made in North Carolina and Hobi kayaks are made in California," said Ryan Hickey, owner of Easton Cycle And Sport.

Prices start at $400 for the kayaks, which is an investment, but the same amount you would pay for an iPad.

Remember, if we all spend just $64 on U.S. products, experts believe we can create 200,000 jobs right here in America.

If you're not convinced yet, be sure to check out World News with Diane Sawyer, each Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. David Muir is making stops nationwide to feature businesses doing the same thing.
