SALISBURY, Md. - Maryland State Police have arrested former Sheriff's Deputy Kendal West, 44, in Salisbury. Upon an investigation that began last week, authorities found that 13 years ago, while West was employed by the Wicomico County Sheriff's Department, he allegedly had sexual contact with a then 15-year-old. Troopers say that the relationship apparently relationship consisted of several sexually oriented incidents in various locations throughout Maryland.
West faces several charges including fourth degree sex offense and second degree assault, among others. He is being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
