SALISBURY, Md. -- Wor-Wic Community College President Dr. Murray Hoy has touched the lives of thousands of students in his 35-year career, and he was honored today for his impact with the 2012 Purdue Leadership Award.

Under his 12-year presidency, Wor-Wic's enrollment has increased 94 percent, the graduation rate increased 100 percent and the school's endowment has grown $5.2 million dollars.

He has also over seen the creation of new areas of study, including forensic science, emergency medical service, and several transfer programs.

He credits the award to the partnership Wor-Wic and Salisbury University have established.
