SNOW HILL, Md. - The identity of the driver who lost their life in a crash in Friday afternoon, has been released. According to Maryland State Police it all happened around 2:49 PM, at the intersection of Route 113 and Route 12 in Snow Hill.

Police say that  42-year-old Gerald Smith, of Delmar, was attempting to cross the Northbound lanes of Route 113 from Route 12 in a Chevy flat-bed truck. Their investigation revealed that he was then hit by a Ford Explorer driven by 65-year-old Iva Justice, of Snow Hill, who was driving North on Route 113.

Justice was pronounced dead at the scene. Smith was taken to PRMC with non-life threatening injuries. Route 113 and Route 12 were closed for 6 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared. The investigation is still on-going, and officials say that charges are pending.
