Del. Correctional Officers Gear Up For Breakfast With Santa

Posted: Updated:

DOVER, Del. - The Correctional Officers Association of Delaware is hosting a "Free Breakfast With Santa Toy Raiser."

It's the second year for the breakfast and organizers are asking each group that comes to bring a new, unwrapped toy.  Everything donated at the free event will go to the Kent County Toys For Tots.  Event coordinators tell WMDT that the children will enjoy a morning of arts and crafts, a picture with Santa, a moon bounce, among others.

"For those who are less fortunate than us, we certainly don't want to see children wake up Christmas morning without toys," Hal Taylor, COAD Breakfast Coordinator.

"They will be able to get a picture with Santa and we have a special little gift that we are going to give to them," said Glenenise Parks, Correctional Officer.

The event is happening next Saturday, December 15th at 10:30 A-M at 1243 College Park Drive, the COAD office in Dover.  Organizers said reservations are necessary and the phone number to register is 302-734-8061.
