GEORGETOWN, Del. - A Lewes man charged with a felony after allegedly hitting someone with his jet ski, has entered his plea. Officials say that 57-year-old Keith Purdy pleaded guilty to charges related to a jet-ski accident this past August.
On August 3rd, Purdy hit a man on a sandbar with his jet ski near Massey's Landing, while he was under the influence of alcohol.
Purdy pleaded guilty to the following charges, assault by vessel in the second degree, operation of a vessel under the influence, two counts of reckless endangering in the second degree, and reckless operation of a vessel.
He was sentenced to six months confinement, suspended in favor of one year supervised probation, and fined $575.
