Parsonsburg Fire Company's Lenny McGee Passes Away

Posted: Updated:

PARSONSBURG, Md. -  The Parsonsburg Volunteer Fire Company is mourning the loss of one of their own tonight. After a long battle with liver cancer, EMT Leonard "Lenny" McGee's final alarm was answered yesterday.

Fellow firemen tell us his work was his passion, and worked all the way until his body would no longer let him. Ryan Whittington with the Ocean City Fire Department said this of Lenny, "Lenny took care of his health situation at which point throughout his liver cancer he began to get worse off and wasn't able to be at the fire house that much, but there were days we would just go pick Lenny up and bring him to the fire house because this is where he wanted to be."

Funeral Arrangements will be held this weekend with a viewing on Saturday from 6-8 PM and Sunday at 1 PM. A Funeral service follow Sunday's viewing at 2 PM. Click here to view Lenny McGee's full obituary.
