PARSONSBURG, Md. - Leonard Gene McGee, 50, of Parsonsburg, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from his residence. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of Dorothea LeBon McGee of Parsonsburg and the late Claude McGee. He was a member of the Parsonsburg Fire Department, Salisbury Baptist Tabernacle and Emerald Society. He worked as a manager for Hart to Hart Ambulance Service and was a certified EMT. He enjoyed his career in the fire department which began in Princess Anne prior to joining Parsonsburg.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Kimberly Thomas and her husband, Andrew and Bobby Sue Smith and her husband, Jeremy, all of Salisbury; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Devine and Sara Sue McGee.
A fireman's funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 2pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with Rev. Carlo Leto and Rev. Oren Perdue officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior on Sunday and also on Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM. Interment will be at Jerusalem Cemetery in Parsonsburg.
