SMYRNA, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say a driver whose passenger died in a two-vehicle crash in Smyrna has been charged in the accident.
Sixty-three-year-old Goldwire Jackson of Wilmington surrendered to troopers on Tuesday. He is charged with operation of a vehicle causing death of another person and was released on $1,000 unsecured bond.
Police say 37-year-old Michael Stigler of New Castle was a passenger in Jackson's panel truck on Oct. 8 when Jackson hit the rear of a camper parked on State Route 1 in Smyrna.
Troopers say the truck fell onto the driver's side and traveled onto a grassy area.
Stigler was pronounced dead at the scene.
