OCEAN PINES, Md - Three Russian nationals were arrested on computer crime charges in Ocean Pines. Local authorities with the Ocean Pines Police Department assisted Federal Authorities, including members of Homeland Security, and the FBI in searching an Ocean Parkway home in Ocean Pines.
Police say inside the home they found numerous electronic items, that are believed to be involved in a large computer crime network. The three suspects, Zauer Anatolyevich Khezhev, 25, Reat Vorokov, 24, and Beslan Tlezhukov, 26, all of Ocean Pines, were arrested and charged locally. Officials say that federal charges are likely, but will happen later.
Khezhev was charged with possession of a re-encoder/skimming device, and possession/use of a false government identification document. OPPD says he is being held on $8,000 bond at the Wicomico County Detention Center because of older charges. Vorokov was charged with possession of a re-encoder/skimming device, and possession/use of a false government identification document. Tlezhukov was charged with possession of a re-encoder/skimming device. Both were released. Police tell WMDT that skimming devices have to do with credit card numbers.
