Accomack Arson Escalates

Posted: Updated:

ACCOMACK, CO., Va. - Since November 13th, officials say there have been twenty-seven arsons in Accomack County, Virginia.  Twenty-five are confirmed to be a part of a serial arson ring, and until Sunday, December 4th, they've all taken place at abandoned structures.

Ah's Kajun Kitchen, a mobile catering service and food truck, was set ablaze around 2:00 AM Sunday morning.  The fact that, just yards away, sits an abandoned building, makes locals worry those responsible are moving up from dilapidated structures to something more serious.

The Virginia State Police and the Accomack County Sheriff's Department have a $5,000 award available for anyone with information that leads to an arrest and successful conviction.
