Emily Lampa's Daughter Eva
OCEAN CITY, Md. - Fashion was front and center in Ocean City for the Holiday Wrappings 24th Annual event.
There were 60 models strutting their stuff, including WMDT's Emily Lampa and her daughter Eva. They wore everything from evening gowns and wedding dresses to bathing suits, which all came from 14 different local retailers. All of the money raised benefits the American Cancer Society. We caught up with the event chairperson, who shared her personal experience with cancer.
"My cancer story started really early. I was very young, I was 12 years old and I had a younger brother who was diagnosed and died at a very young age. He was diagnosed when he was four years old and he passed away and was buried on his 4th birthday," said event Chairperson, Dawne Pappas.
Officials say they saw a huge turnout for this event. They also say a bulk of the funds will go towards cancer research, and local programs.
