DOVER, Del. (AP) - State officials are joining in a celebration of Delaware's first public radio news station.
Gov. Jack Markell, Attorney General Beau Biden and other officials were scheduled gather at Delaware State University for a ceremony marking the launch earlier this year of WDDE 91.1 FM.
The station went live Aug. 17. It the first Delaware-based NPR News station, and is designated by NPR as both a minority-service and rural-service station.
WDDE is owned and operated by Delaware First Media Corp.
