Laurel Attempted Murder Suspect At Large

LAUREL, Del. - Police are looking for a Delmar man, who they say stabbed a man in the face, and fled. Delaware State Police are searching for 24-year-old Manuel Vasquez, after a 27-year-old man was found lying on the ground behind a Laurel liquor store.

An investigation showed that the 27-year-old victim, had just left Five Points Liquor Store on North Central Avenue, when Vasquez confronted the victim. Police say that the victim tried to walk away, but the confrontation got physical, during which Vasquez stabbed the victim in the face with a knife multiple times, and then fled.

The victim was admitted to Christiana Hospital for his injuries. Vasquez is facing 1st degree attempted murder, 1st degree assault, and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony charges.
