Liz Crawford Joins the firm as Vice President of Strategy and Insight.

Crawford is a well-known industry thought leader in the areas of brand management, shopper marketing and retail innovation. In her new role at Marketing Drive, she will lead the firm’s shopper marketing department.

Crawford is a noted author and speaker. Her book, The Shopper Economy (released by McGraw-Hill in April 2012), examines the implications of consumer trends on the current and future direction of marketing to shoppers. The Shopper Economy was selected as a must-read pick by the European business magazine, Expert Marketer. She authored a series of six feature articles for Shopper Marketing Magazine (that ran from April to September 2012) on “Measuring Shopper Marketing Performance."
She has also written feature articles for CBS MarketWatch, The National Review, Shopper Marketing Magazine and The HUB, and is a member of RetailWire's Brain Trust Panel, as well as a regular contributor to the e-zine. Liz regularly shares insights on marketing strategy and innovation with the media and has been featured in stories by the Associated Press, U.S. News & World Report, ABC News and Barron’s, to name a few.
Crawford has been a featured speaker at IIR's Shopper Insights Conference Chicago, NRF Summit, National Grocer’s Association Annual Conference, American Marketing Association VA Beach, University of Chicago’s Business Roundtable, Iconoculture’s Iconosphere, and was also selected as the kick-off speaker at several corporate innovation off-site conferences.
Over the years, Crawford’s clients have included: P&G, Safeway, Walgreens, Publix Supermarkets, Kraft, Pepsi, Nabisco, Johnson & Johnson, Coca-Cola, Kimberly Clark, American Greeting, Mars Candy, Hershey, Newell Rubbermaid, Y&R, BBDO, CIBA Vision, Spanx, and Pirelli Tyres among others.
In addition, Crawford has taught several semesters as an adjunct marketing professor at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. She has an MBA from New York University and a BA in English from Columbia University.
