David Donaway, 41, of Seaford, DE
SEAFORD, Del. - A suspicious person report, leads police to a fake bomb, landing one Seaford man behind bars.
On Thursday night around 8:40 PM, Seaford Police say they got a call about a suspicious person, wearing latex gloves, and acting strange inside of the Rite Aid on Stein Highway. When officers arrived on scene, they reportedly found David Donaway, 41, in the parking lot, and took him into custody.
Police say that inside of Donaway's vehicle they found a demand note, and a small box with wires and tape. The Delaware State Police Bomb Squad responded and apparently figured out that the box was a hoax device.
Donaway was charged with attempted robbery, 7 counts of reckless endangering, wearing a disguise, possession of a destructive weapon, and possession of a hoax device. He is being held on $71,000 bond.
