The Dunning Family Closer To Church Transformation

Posted: Updated:

LEWES, Del. - Now to a selfless family we've been following for over a year now - one that hasn't taken no for an answer.

You'll remember, the Dunnings were surprised when Extreme Makeover came knocking on their door. However, they faced a roadblock when the county told them they couldn't invite the public inside their soup kitchen. At last check, they were in the process of turning it into a church where they could hand out hot meals.

"I'm hoping within the next couple of weeks, the construction will start. That's the widening of the driveway and putting in the parking spaces and different things like that, so full speed ahead," said Dale Dunning, Founder of the Jusst Sooup.

The permits have been approved and the county just wants them to make minor changes to the building, to be on board with code compliance. We'll continue to update you once the project is complete.
