SMYRNA, Del. - A Smyrna teen was arrested after police reportedly found a pipe bomb in his possession. According to the Delaware State Police, members of the Kent County Governor's Task Force searched the Hurd Road home of 19-year-old Robert Cadmus, who is a level II probationer.

During the search, officers say they found, a 12 gauge shotgun with ammunition, a variety of prescription drugs that weren't prescribed to him, and fireworks.

Police say they also found a gray duct taped cylindrical object on a shelf in Cadmus' bedroom. The Delaware State Police Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit investigated and found that the item was a home-made pipe bomb. They safely removed the bomb from the home.

Cadmus was taken into custody, charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of ammunition by person prohibited, manufacturing an incendiary device - bomb, and other related offences. He is being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $12,100 bond.
